Composition – Each 100ml contains:

Sodium chloride           B.P 0.9g

Water for injection B.P to 100ml

Indication

Electrolyte and fluid replacement.
Extracellular fluid replacement (e.g., dehydration, hypovolemia, hemorrhage, sepsis).
Treatment of metabolic alkalosis in the presence of fluid loss.
Mild sodium depletion.

It is also indicated for use as a priming solution in hemodialysis procedures and to initiate and terminate blood transfusions.

Indications for sodium chloride infusions also include pharmaceutic aids and diluents for the infusion of compatible drug additives.

As prescribed by the physician.
